Thank your choosing to participate in this survey! Please note that I am looking for people/studios who are working on their own engines for the purpose of making their own game with it. OpenMathBooks is a collection of free math books ranging from elementary level to precalculus level. It’s open source and licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Editing requires LaTeX. With improved AI language models these books could be translated into multiple languages in no time, helping making math available for all. I would love to discuss with someone how these books could be improved and how to get them picked up by a broader audience. sindrsh.github.io/openmathbooks

I just merged Bevy Asset V2, which is a brand new significantly more capable asset system for #bevy. We have some time before Bevy 0.12, so please give it a whirl so we can iron out the kinks before the next release!

It adds fully optional asset preprocessing, hot reloads, asset loader and saver settings, asset .meta files (fully optional), better asset handles, async asset io, efficient dense AssetIds, an improved loader interface, a preprocessor for images, and more!

Some common criticisms that I'm getting for my game are "include something that tells people to click on the arrows" and "better lighting (especially from the candle flames)".
I appreciate all of the feedback received so far. Thanks to all who have tried out the game. I'm going to make some updates over the next couple weeks and then we'll see if I either keep adding to it or let it rest.

Today we're releasing a new paper on the potential for an ecolabelling scheme for digital #games. Boosts greatly appreciated so this idea gets in front of more devs!

Earlier this year I spent some time figuring out whether it would be useful to have some kind of 'ecolabel' for games – these sorts of labels are turning up on clothes, shoes, etc and say how much CO2 is embedded in a particular purchase.

Turns out, there's some unique challenges for the games industry in achieving this, but they're not insurmountable – in fact, they're probably pretty doable. The benefits are also pretty real – potentially catalysing greater transparency and data sharing across the entire gane production process.

Read more about the paper here:

What if games came with a CO2 emissions label?

Earlier this year, I set out to answer that question – posed initially by Marina Psaros who was (at the time) working for Unity in SF as their sustainability team lead. Would there be a benefit to putting some sort of sticker or label on game boxes and store pages? Could

Greening the Games Industry

I want this game to exist because my mind yearns for a do-over of the modern industrial age. I want to let my mind live in that alternative universe on occasion.

My do-over starting in the 50s would be the Ecologists story arc. In my version, the ecologists won. I need to know what that might’ve looked like.
