Navarrete looked larger than Nuñez, with both height and reach advantage, but he landed the cleaner punches, though Nuñez scored body shots. In the 11th, Nuñez' eye got so swollen, the doctor stopped the fight. Expecting this to be a Fight of the Year candidate. 💪👊

#boxing Ryan #Garcia won the WBC Welterweight Title from Mario #Barrios via UD. 'King Ry' is finally a champion. He scored a KD in round 1, and got busy throughout the fight and landed cleanly, even when at time fighting on the backfoot. Barrios did fight, but wasn't as busy with his punches the way he was going forward with his feet. Good fight. 💪
King Ry called out Shakur #Stevenson, that would be an exciting match if no one runs. 👊💪

The fight was action-packed, both fighters busy without running, though it was Ball bringing the fight. It was a good fight, though it felt like Figueroa belongs in a higher weight class.

#boxing Shakur #Stevenson won the WBO Super Lightweight Title from Teofimo #Lopez via a wide UD. It was a chessmatch fight, Teo bringing the fight, Shakur counterpunching. Shakur's lightning quick jabs did cut Teo's eyelid. It should have been a draw, Teo did more in bringing the fight, with punches to the body.

#boxing Josh #Kelly won the IBF Junior Middleweight title from Bakhram #Murtazaliev by MD. Murtazaliev brought the fight and Kelly fought on the backfoot and clinched a lot, but he was given the nod. Murtazaliev could have been more aggressive, to be fair, but that would be a tall order against a running opponent.
