Students at University of Cambridge are protesting the university’s endowment fund, which manages about $4.4 billion in assets, over its refusal to divest from arms companies linked to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The protests come after more than two years of student-led campaigns demanding the university take action and meet divestment calls.

The University of Sydney has dropped disciplinary proceedings against two members of the "Students Against War" group following a wave of public outrage and solidarity.

More than 800 supporters, including politicians and trade unionists, signed an open letter backing the students.

The reversal came after sustained pressure on campus, including demonstrations involving dozens of students and staff protesting intimidation and restrictions on freedom of expression.

Israeli occupation aircraft targeted the courtyard of a house in Gaza City, resulting in the killing of two people and several injuries according to preliminary reports.

The Israeli occupation continues to violate the so called ceasefire and target civilians in the Gaza Strip, with the number of victims during the truce rising to more than 920 in addition to thousands of injuries.

The Government Media Office in Gaza says Israeli forces have committed 3,005 violations of the ceasefire agreement since it took effect 227 days ago.

The reported violations include shelling, direct attacks on civilians, repeated gunfire, incursions into residential neighborhoods, and the destruction of entire housing blocks.
