Duck-tape to the rescue. I tore a nail whilst running. It was a longitudinal tear. Shortly afterwards, the nail became infected with a fungal infection. I’ve been suffering from this for two years now, and no matter what medication I’ve used, it hasn’t cured it. I also developed an ear infection as a result of this fungal infection. That cleared up fairly quickly, but the ear continued to be affected by the fungus. My ear specialist told me to regularly flush my ear with white vinegar.
