On FehrTrade today - a Just Patterns Sybil Sweatshirt in a trompe l'oeil sweatshirting. Is it leopard print, or ladies faces??

I love the look of the notched collar on a casual sweatshirt, but I'm glad I read reviews before sewing... 🫣

On FehrTrade today: a breathable, waterproof rain cape I sewed using the Fibre Mood Delma cape pattern!

It should be very practical going into our typically wet English spring & summer. This was so fun to sew, and I'd recommend it if you like the style!

I've incorporated some of the fabrics I bought in Paris along with a mix of TNT and older Burda magazine patterns and come up with a spring #sewing plan I'm really excited about!

I also took the opportunity to flex my digital drawing skills a bit here and finally push past the frustration!

I turned a remnant of stretch velvet jersey into a teeshirt, lengthening the collar into a poloneck. Then I sewed trousers using a Japanese acetate twill.

One of these gave me a bit of a headache while sewing it, but I really like both to wear!

On FehrTrade today - a Named Gemma dress sewn in beautiful rose/rust Italian ponte from Ditto Fabrics.

It's a great and cosy winter dress, and the geometric piecing on the front provides great visual interest and also makes the construction really fun!

I've sewn another FibreMood Lara sweatshirt, this time in absolutely bargain-rific Blush pink loopback and interlock jerseys from New Craft House.

I even shared a MUCH better construction technique for sewing the kangaroo pockets neatly!

I sewed two FibreMood Dymar tops using merino wool jersey - a favourite of mine for winter base layers & a pair of FehrTrade Steeplechase Leggings using Funkifabrics' excellent Thermo fleece-lined lycra.

On FehrTrade today: my #HeatedRivalry tribute fleece based on THE Team Canada one Shane wears. Since I get mistaken for Canadian enough as it is, I opted for HOLLANDER 24 on the back of mine instead of CANADA.

I sewed it all from scratch & I adore it!

My first garment of 2026 is a Named Saraste shirtdress made from a Flying Tiger tablecloth!

The print may technically be Halloween, but I love the pumpkins, ravens, and candles giving it a slightly spooky vibe that I'm happy to wear all year round.

This is my modern take on the Spencer jacket from the musical Hamilton!

The pattern was sold as a fundraiser for out-of-work Broadway costumers in 2020, and I paired it with some extremely narrow vintage wool & silk kimono fabric & neon PVC piping.
