We are thinking of hosting a periodic "Welcome to the Fediverse! Ask your fellow developers anything!" online meetup.

Many people are now looking at developing for the Fediverse, as this week's announcements show, and we know it can be daunting to get started. Maybe other developers can help?

@andypiper (with a little bit of help from @J12t@social.coop) ran a session about the Fediverse Developer Network at #FediForum this week. There were about 25 people in the session, so there's quite some interest!

Main subject was an early show-and-tell-and-feedback of FediTest, developing a #testsuite for the #Fediverse.

We have 26 responses so far on our Fediverse developer platform survey. That must mean there are at least 26 #Fediverse developers in the world 🙂

There are some clear trends already. For example, nobody develops Fediverse apps on Windows ARM (not much of a surprise there) and Fediverse developers generally know lots about Linux.

If you are fediverse developer, take 5 minutes and add your voice?
