This award credits stars whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry.

Harrelson shared that Fox “turned a chilling diagnosis into a courageous mission” by founding the Michael J. Fox Foundation to seek a cure.
The foundation has raised more than $1 billion for research.

A great starting point on learning about the oppression of #IrishTravellers is the 1963 Commission Report on Itinerancy. An offical state policy of othering and Assimilation which set out to

"Find the final solution to the itinerant problem" and

"there could be no final solution until itinerants were absorbed into the general population. "

This policy set the tone for the following decades and has resulted in us living intergenerational trauma.
