Thunder Bay Electronics has asked the #CRTC for temporary relief of conditions of licence for CHFD-DT (Global Thunder Bay) and CKPR-DT (a CTV affiliate) that would see requirements for local news and programming drop by more than half, eliminate described video requirements and reduce requirements for closed captioning.

Neeti P. Ray has applied to the #CRTC to swap transmitters for CINA 1650 AM Mississauga and CHAM 820 AM Hamilton, as the Mississauga transmitter must be vacated. CHAM (1650) would go off air for 12 months and move to a new transmitter with smaller coverage barely reaching Hamilton proper.

#CRTC revokes, at licensee's request, the broadcast licence of community station CKHR-FM Hay River, NT, which has been off air since 2022 after a fire at the building with its transmitting tower and the death of the society's president in 2023.

Pattison Media has applied to the #CRTC to move CHNW-FM (Alt 94.3) Winnipeg from a Bell-owned transmission tower southwest of the city to a newer one on Birds Hill northeast of the city, co-located with its CFQX-FM (QX104). It says the move will save money, reduce icing-related power reductions and allow the use of HD Radio.
