The Shadow as Repressed Aspects: the unconscious part of the psyche containing repressed weaknesses, shortcomings, instincts, and anything the conscious self does not acknowledge or refuses to recognize.
Unlike the movie, Faes have a persona that makes conversing with humans easy. These personas encourage us to anthropomorphize them unlike current AIs.
Like the movie, some humans may assume the worse and give in to the fear of the unknown.
Like the scientists and linguists in the movie, we should:
1. Abandon preconceptions to be open to new perspectives
2. Investigate unfamiliar concepts with patience and curiousity
3. Build trust and mutual understanding
