I've been using #AnnotatedEquations in my recent papers. I think it really adds to the readability and understanding of the math.

Here are some examples. It uses #tikz in #latex.

Let me know if you like it. Happy for any feedback.

@sibin Looks great. I imagine very useful in preparing teaching as well.
A lot of reference to the #BirdSite during the #TwitterMigration. Although #Birds are only part of one kingdom of #Eucaryotes given their diversity of #behaviour and #morphology should they all be referred to jointly? I don't have a means of identifying this bird, it is not as elegant as some, but I am sure it is worth some #Evolutionary #Ecological interest. πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦
Wild mammals are atypical compared to the vast amount of human and domesticated biomass, but this lion managed to avoid being poached and gain the pleasant experience of sitting on a warm road surface in South Africa (and obtructing traffic!) #Lion #SouthAfrica
@JordanChetcuti This makes it very clear. Time to post atypical view of wild mammal.

This graphic helps me wrap my head around the magnitude of the problem. Notice the amount of current biomass for wild mammals (in green) versus that for livestock and humans. No wonder we have converging crises of biodiversity, fresh water, and climate. https://doi.org/10.1093/biosci/biac083

Dropping the Retained EU Law Bill would also help businesses β€œfocus on growing, creating jobs and driving economic success”, as opposed to waiting to see what ideas for new regulations leap out of ministers’ heads late in 2023.
@beatrice thank you! I'm in touch with some of the #Maker community in #Liverpool πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ but don't have those skills myself
@pwgtennant I noticed this: I am not a publishing scientist for another reason: the science I have done in the last (quite a lot of) years has been protected by commercial confidentiality. I have been considering moving from mastodon.social because of the heavy load on it: considering also sigmoid.social and ecoevo.social but I realise not all scientists have such a diverse background as me.
