Vanuit de Vrienden van de Athenaeumbibliotheek in Deventer een bijzonder bericht: we hebben een wiegedruk uit 1483 aangekocht, een zeer vroege druk van stadsdrukker Pafraet!

Enjoyed the Sofonisba Anguissola exhibition in Rijksmuseum Twenthe. Happy this great Renaissance painter is getting rhe attention she deserves
Drents Museum in Assen, the Netherlands, has a Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibit!
This Utrecht antiques shop specializes in medical equipment of the 19th century: anatomical models, microscopes, stethoscopes and more. Intriguing and slightly unsettling .
Visited the #Barbarossa exhibit in Münster today. Leaving a few impressions here. Amazing objects on loan from all over Europe, from sculpture to stained glass, from reliquaries to book covers. Excellent research! Compliments to the LWL Museum
Absolutely amazing Tarot deck: the Visconti Sforza Tarot at the fabulous Academia Carrara in #Bergamo . I believe a similar incomplete deck is at the Pierpont Morgan library. Used for everyday playing these sets were called ‘Trionfi’ : triumph or trump cards. Commissioned by 15th c. duke of Milan, Giovanni Maria Visconti. Sorry for the pictures with all the glass reflection issues. #ArtHistory #tarot
