Not that I'm surprised, but Russell Brand is apparently a full-on conspiracy theorist now. A recent video of his discusses "power grabs" due to covid and although I refuse to give him views, the thumbnail, title, and video description are... concerning, to say the least 😕
It might have happened already a long time ago, I'm just not following what he's doing so I just found out.
These are the people who make lists of "traitors", who bend and mutilate truth until it looks "right", who are *directly* paid by the bloody dictatorship.
When I see people like Sean Swain seeking an interview with them my heart breaks. I know it's a desperate measure but what peeps will say will be used for the bloody regime. It's a propaganda so blatant that it makes Fox reach for a cigarette.
Don't repost RT. Don't link to Sputnik. Be better.
I just published "Software Crisis 2.0"
https://www.baldurbjarnason.com/2021/software-crisis-2/
A long essay on our industry's core expertise: failed software projects.
Also experimenting with including PDF, EPUB, and MOBI
I need help and boosts are welcome!
So I want to include books by and about Romani people, especially because they are one of the most overlooked demographics where I live.
But it's... not easy to find books *by* Romani (or just GRT) authors. The only one I've found (and ordered for my personal collection) has been The Color of Smoke.
Does anyone know of any others?
I'm considering moving instances. Not sure where, but maybe weirder.earth (they run the Hometown fork, which I'm curious about).
When you move instances both your follows and your "followees" move to the new one, yeah?
It's a little sad to leave my first Mastodon home, but I don't really use the local timeline and it has gotten too big and annoying and it's blocked in some other instances, so...
Any other instance recommendations, or instances I should avoid?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P55t6eryY3g describes how the alt-right recruits people online. It's a popular and valuable video.
Last week, YouTube age-restricted the video, removing it from searches and recommendations, saying it violated their - *checks notes* - ..."sex and nudity policy": https://twitter.com/InnuendoStudios/status/1429132814549753861
After a review, they ... claimed it /actually/ violated the "violent or graphic content policy", and also that counts as the one appeal, bye
Looks like we're getting more intense at recruiting at Mozilla. Hit us up if you're an engineer looking for a good remote position!
I want to unionize, but I'm not sure where. As a developer working remotely from Spain for a US company, what would you recommend?
Boosts appreciated.
