It's quite crazy how good #opensource is for the #environment. Other ecosystems effectively create unneeded tech junk.

Working on my backup machine at the moment - Thinkpad X240, 4 core 4th gen Intel, 8GB of RAM. I do 100% of the stuff I do on my primary machine, some things are slower, but they get done.

Just try running #Windows on it - 10 is unusable, while being supported for couple of more months. Windows 11 won't even install.

Intel 4th gen MacBooks are from 2014, not supported anymore.

There are billions and billions of euros in all kind of different funds and programs throughout the @EUCommission, but no funds for pushing an independent #opensource mobile platform. It's the only way for us to have digital #sovereignty these days. I'm not an expert, but I'm sure that couple of millions at a right place could make a big difference.
