Waiting for the bus, I see a white Tesla sedan round the corner, another white Tesla sedan just drove past the opposite way, and I saw three Teslas merely while waiting to cross the street a little while earlier. Even in this poor Rainier Valley neighborhood south of Seattle there's bound to be a lot of Teslas, and it's a hallmark of Musk's extremely successful capture of the Tesla name and the electric vehicle market.
It's fair to guess that "Tesla" at least for a while has been synonymous with the electric car—that decades' old chimaera, the product of unnatural union of environmentalism with American "car culture"—which has made Elon Musk, Elon [expletive deleted] Musk, into the equivalent of an environmentalist leader in the eyes of the mainstream. Capitalism has been trying to "greenwash" itself in its own special way and in the person of Elon Musk they have an approximation of their fondest prize, the "green" Führer. The "eco-fascist".

I can only make them for pride month because they take too long to create for the price and I just can't afford to make them otherwise.
