This includes, but is not limited to: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) individuals Trans*, non-binary, and LGBT+/queer communities People with disabilities and/or chronic illness First-generation college students Individuals from low-income backgrounds People from the Global South Applicants have the opportunity to receive one round of substantial written feedback on their application materials (Statement of Purpose, Personal History Statement, and CV) from up to two current Ph.D. students. We are accepting submissions until November 15 at 11:59pm ET. Once you have submitted this form, we will contact you at the email address provided to ask for your application materials. We then aim to provide feedback within a week. If you have any questions, feedback, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Wells Santo at [email protected] and/or Rahaf Alharbi at [email protected]! We are happy to help support you through this process. Disclaimer: The UMSI PhD Applicant Feedback Program is student-run and not formally affiliated with the University of Michigan. Very excited to finally read @npseaver's new book! This work's right up my alley, and I'm thrilled to dig in.

This week we're reading a book on classification, and there's a section on how classifications are fuzzy, and I'm trying my hardest not to start talking about language-games. Instead, I suspect my rigorous scholarly contribution will be to post this meme someone posted on Tumblr 😭

A really weird thing I've noticed is the fact that if you try to search for a specific hashtag, the exact match won't actually come up, and instead you'll get a list of... non-existent hashtags with 0 toots? I wonder why this happens / where these come from...

In any case, I just directly change the URL to access hashtags now.

every time i type out mastodon i just think of these guys
