I introduced both my kids to RD in the last few years. They're now 15 and 13, and both of them quote it on a regular basis. It actually got my daughter credit with her physics teacher. And the novel⌠the novel is genuinely some of the best writing you will ever read. Anyway, as I'm sure GHC on Bluesky is saying: smoke me a kipper, Iâll be back for breakfast.â
Not a day goes by when I don't quote #RedDwarf.
"I have brought pleasure to the world because I have such a beautiful ass!"
"Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb"
"Smmmeeeeeeeeee-"
"You've lost my arm!" "I've lost your watch too"
And so on
But despite so many to choose from, the iconic line from the show that best sums up Rob Grant's legacy is obvious
"And the moral of the story is, "Appreciate what you've got", because basically, I'm fantastic."
