It’s too hot out to be riding bikes as you can see from the thermometer. So here are some shots from around the neighborhood.
We went to go watch a trail the javalina like to take to water in the evening. Our son was running out of gas and needed to get to sleep, so no javis tonight.
4 Harris hawks on the ranch gate. Beat up saguaro cactus towards the edge of a wildfire a season ago w the moon. Saw 3 different great horned owls waiting to hunt.
Get up to go to bed and see these two meatballs.
They’ve become inseparable. I’ve never experienced having two cats grow up together. It’s really cool to see how it has progressed.
118 today. Not from sitting in the parking lot or anything, just actually that flippin hot.
We went to target and got some new lego. It’s an inside cat day today.
98 degrees out still but I had to get out for a ride. Big lighting east that you can sort of make out (because I’m telling you, probably).
About a 6-8 mile loop. I was starting to get a bit over heated so decided not to have too much fun.
Also for the #bikeTooter folks - what was the name of the alternative to strava people liked for simply recording routes and such? I don’t care about the analytics or anything of strava, just seeing a map/distance.
That’s it. This cat is staying in our family and his name is D’thaniel aka diarrhea Dan aka diaper Danny aka bambino beeper.
I don’t care what my niece says this cat is now part of our family and she can’t steal him.
He or his brother somehow ripped the bell off his collar, probably doing crimes.
A very beautiful Arizona sunset this evening. The state tree the palo verde in the foreground with a saguaro who hosts the state wildflower with an ironwood in the background.
These two are best friends now. Up until a couple of days ago stinky (larger kitten) would beat up on beeper (littler kitten). He’s starting to catch up developmentally so they’re really just either playing or sleeping together now.
Also the vet at the shelter claimed beeper was 6w old 3 weeks ago. There’s no way that’s true, he’s probably closer to 6-8w now.

This time I made all the decisions so I’m quartering them and stewing them with no other ingredients. Ideally fresh lemons, but probably just some citric acid if I can find some.
I really miss having access to a steam juicer as this would be the correct tool. Food mill and chinois will do.
Also the colloquial American name for chinois is still “china cap”
