Hamburg‘s Computer Security Conference - coming to the Elbe on June 5th, 2026.
We are part of the worldwide BSides community and want to organize an event by the community, through the community, for the community!
We try to create an inclusive and safe space for talks and workshops all around security and welcome all gender at our conference.

#elbsides2026 is over. I took #sketchnotes on the conference day. While this activity helps me focus in the moment and memorize a talk better, the resulting notes are also great to share. So here they are from @elbsides. Thread. 🧵
And before you know it, it’s over :(
Thank you people for participating, supporting and building a community. Hope to see you next year :)

Closing keynote at #elbsides!"Who comes next?" -Brian Hein & CJ on how to get the next generation of people into the community, on KMT and how we need to get more people into relationships we can rely on, we need that!

Key takeaway: give your juniors conference budget including beer-money! Large parts of our industry relies on trusting people we have meet, we can't afford to lose a generation of people due to conference budgets cuts during covid.

I absolutely recommend to check brians former talk from #FIRSTCTI26 - imho most important talk of the conference!

Brian and Constantin ask in the closing keynote “who comes next?” in the threat intelligence community.
Let’s hope that we come to a good answer together.

Somehow we feel what Juliane shows here at the #elbsides speaking about the need for closure. Bonus points for mentioning overreliance on tools and checklists ^^
Good talk about “The Illusion of Finishability” in our field.
Speaking about parenting, at one point in time you will have that special talk! About your first certification. These days that means NIS-2 for some.
Younes tells us about his research of the operational reality of NIS-2 adaptation.

Great practical parenting from Lisa Fröhlich : show your kids your research at a conference and also tell the audience about those insights.
One can say, there is life lesson as well in a talk called “Your Traffic Is Lying to You” :)

You know, we are a community conference and try to bring you the #infosec magic for a small price.
Therefore it’s great to have Nithin with the talk about “Building a 0$ AI Pentesting Agent”.

Let’s see how we can do more with spending less.

And now a classic security topic, “Kernel-Level Surgery to Blind EDRs” presented by André. You know, good ol’ kernel exploitation nothing fancy ;)
We just had a nice overview from Michael on what to automate with AI in #infosec.
Especially if your organization tries to figure out how to make good use of this new environment, this talk provides valuable insights.
