I come from a generation where if you call in to work sick, or call in because [insert your favorite excuse inside these brackets], it’s considered a weakness. It means you can’t take good enough care of yourself outside of work, that it affects your attendance . It means you’re afraid of working when you’re tired. You could say “I’m not afraid I just choose not to,” —because you’re afraid 🤡

The root of these reasons is fear. You’re also afraid that the sentence before this one is true.
