HS student has poster accepted at a big conference. Poster session is on a Sunday pm. Conference won't waive reg fee for student (PI, etc., are paying their own full large fees), offers swap for "volunteer" service, which, well, student is a minor so can't just parachute them in to volunteer. So must pay (reduced) fee. What do y'all think about this?
