I got a pair of Sharkey's and a Tuwunel. All of it very neat but time consuming. I owe everyone a video on it!!
Yeahooo I have reduced both my AWS and Linode spend to $0. FINALLY after years of paying for little BS that's hard to remove, it's all gone.
I have moved my infra entirely to DigitalOcean. I'll also be moving my social presence to my own self-hosted fedi this month...

I've been making some big changes at Eghq. Big one is we're finally starting over on the Minecraft server! Tonight (6:30pm pst) will be my last time on the server and I'll be streaming it on Twitch so we can hopefully see everyone's builds. 💙

Welcome to the the Minecraft Community Server page! Currently running version 1.21.10. The server has been active since 2016. It's a PaperMC server running in Docker with a few quality of life plugins (AngelChest, CoreProtect, etc.). It is a SMP server with a spawn area big enough so
I have to do some sketchy DNS rigging tonight. I have scars from botched DNS snafu's in production at work; nothing can scare me.
I think "growing up" is getting to where you can look back and be thankful you went through hell.
Wow I just discovered Shellwords which is part of Ruby's standard lib. I don't understand how I've missed this all these years https://ruby-doc.org/stdlib-2.5.1/libdoc/shellwords/rdoc/Shellwords.html
tl;dr makes it easier to run shell commands via ruby. You could already do it but arrays and interpolation stuff had a habit of breaking. Not any more!
