I like a variety of things, usually involving science or science fiction. My hobbies are all excuses to collect pretty colors: sewing, quilting, knitting, even baking and running, somehow. Microbiology and food safety person. Every now and then I code something.

I lost a kale seedling to the 23F freeze this week (the 60MPH wind got into that corner) BUT the basil survived and the carrots sprouted even more under their fuzzy blankets!
I have a kale seedling left and will plant another one if the other seeds don't come up soon. But I will wait until after the 99F high we're supposed to get on Saturday incase the heat takes the other one. 🫠#gardening
