@superplane39 @luap42 @cellio if the eduroam CAT profiles are correct, the geteduroam Apps can also help to configure eduroam. The Linux version is linked at https://geteduroam.app

Academia should be an actual club, with things like global building access, travel perks, and special pins. I think the closest thing we have to that is eduroam.

In 2022, eduroam registered 6.4 billion authentications!

Now students, researchers and staff can access #eduroam in a huge number of places around the world and we are thrilled to be helping more people #love2eduroam 💓

When COVID-19 lockdowns started in early 2020 it was inevitable that usage of eduroam would initially suffer as travelling became nearly impossible for most and heavily restricted for everyone. At that time, 10 hour days of Video Conferencing became the norm and services like Zoom stopped being a cool thing only techies knew about to

I love #eduroam, and especially how airports in Norway and Sweden have joined to provide full speed wifi for academics.
@rasmus Yes! Being at the Viking Ship Museum and hopping on #eduroam wifi was amazing! I wish more US museums would support it.

It's been a while since I've tried to do a whole day's work in a university library, and I am discovering that the arrival of modern office furniture (i.e. seats with adjustable height and back) makes it a far less painful experience than it used to be.

Thank you to #Abertay library (and thank you to whoever came up with #eduroam, for enabling me to work in other university's libraries!).

Discovered tonight that #Edinburgh #trams have #eduroam 👀

Might just sit on a tram all day if I ever need to work in this city.

@nomeata I have a similar fuzzy warm feeling each time my phone auto-connects to #eduroam WiFi while I am walking past some University campus.
@john_terena @stux @geant yup, especially look at eduroam. Explicit sharing of resources built in by concept and policy
