Very proud to announce that Lana ลฝoldoลก, through support from the EDIAQI project, has completed her masterโs thesis on how humans adapted to pollutants throughout evolution.
Her work focuses on the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) โ a key gene in detoxification โ and how a single genetic difference may have given Homo sapiens resilience to toxins compared to Neanderthals.
This research connects evolutionary biology with todayโs challenges of air quality, including indoors.
