Another welcome addition (or subtraction depending on how you see it).
No more menu item icons in #macOS27. Good riddance. :)

Hi! I'm currently working in IT and geek out about #Apple, #telecom, media and pop-culture, #woso (#NWSL: #SeattleReignFC and #RacingLouisvilleFC; #SalmonBayFC; #USWNT), and other things I’m probably forgetting at the moment.
I run SchwarzTech (https://schwarztech.net), its new companion podcast Magical & Revolutionary (https://magicalandrevolutionary.com), as well as The Chaos League (https://thechaosleague.com)

I'm still obviously interested in the new stuff, but boy it's hard to relate to people posting order screenshots or complaining how their 2 year old phone is out of date when new hardware is released.
I used to enjoy that life, too, but all these App Store profits Tim talks about haven't been flowing our way for about a decade now.
Neither has the design work.
This time of year Apple app devs give off the impression of rapidly running to support the latest things, ordering the latest new gadgets, and generally just seeming like they're made of money because of the race to keep up - but my iPhone is too old to run Apple Intelligence, my Mac is around 5 years old, and my iPad is about 6 years old.
Pretty much can't afford the latest and greatest anymore as there aren't enough people buying our apps or hiring our designers.
So yeah.
Remember an hour ago when they walked back some Liquid Glass issues and we were excited? Good times. #StopWithTheAIDemos #WWDC #WWDC26
(For what it's worth, I’m not a Liquid Glass hater, just have some irritations, especially on the Mac.)
