From Ethiopia to Burkina Faso, we work with local communities in some of the driest places on Earth… by digging holes in the soil.
Some of these methods have been passed down for generations.

Together with One Acre Fund, we work with nursery managers like Israel Sebzsungu, who carefully nurture the seedlings that become Ecosia trees.
For the past 6 years, Israel has steadily grown his nursery. Today, he’s not only growing high-quality trees for his community, but also earning a stable income to support his five children and invest in his family’s future.

These forest corridors help species like monkeys move through the forest again, alongside birds and pollinators 🐒
In Rwanda, we’re growing more than trees 🌱
Together with One Acre Fund, we work with local farmers to plant agroforestry trees that restore soil, boost harvests, and strengthen livelihoods.
With surplus crops to sell, farming families can invest in education, health care, and a better standard of living.
Since 2020, we’ve planted over 7,000,000 trees with more than 100,000 farmers — and we’re just getting started 💚
