How Do You Do, Fellow Kids?

Armed with some research (H/T @neil) and after spending some time reading up the subject, I went to the Apple Store and then spent an hour on the phone to Apple account support yesterday.

They're very aware that they dropped a bollock here and have thousands of very angry adult customers.

The support team manager I spoke to yesterday said that some sort of fix was due within days

That's the /good/ news.

ICE planned to buy an old Big Lots on the Chahta Reservation for a detention center.

Yesterday the Chahta Nation purchased that facility instead.

Native humor is only outpaced by our way of dishing deserved pettiness.

There is something I would like which I have not been able to find.

When I use the programming language R, I typically use the IDE RStudio. One of the things I like about RStudio is that it A: allows me to run individual lines of code, and B: it shows me the objects in the environment within another pane (see attached screenshot).

I find this extremely useful when working with code that is not mine - if I run part of the code and see the objects that are created, it saves debugging all the types (is it a list or a vector? etc)

I'd like to have a similar IDE that works with Python in the same way. Does such an IDE exist? Is it PyCharm?

OK! Toyota is ready to fight!👍🏿

Everyone looks at the number of cars that are sold in China each year, and begins to salivate. Their eyes turn to dollar signs!🤑

Then they get in market, and realize how much quality and value you need to pack into a tiny price.🤯

It's harder than spaceflight!

You can't just sell someone a basic, mid-level car for $60,000, and then expect them to put $5 a gallon gas in it every month. That only works on Americans that don't know any better.🤡

You have to sell someone a great car that they never have to put gas in, and that only costs $18,000.

Agent: uh... it says here your name is The Who, and your song is called, "Who Are You?"

The Who: uh-huh.

Agent: And I'm supposed to take that seriously.

The Who: A-yup.

Agent: Don't..... don't you think that's a little too... I don't know, silly?

The Who: 🎶who-who who-who🎶

ACC women are on fire in the NCAA and WBIT meanwhile a single men's squad carries the water for the conference. Will and Jim talk basketball. https://accnation.net/basketball-women-on-fire-1-stands-with-men/ #Basketball #NCAA #NIT #WBIT #ACC

So two documentaries about "AI" are coming out this week -- a good one and a bad one. For some info on which is which and why, see:

@aparrish This happens when apps get vibe coded, the robots are worse at GUI layouts than CLI developers.

Or when one does the unthinkable and modifies the font size settings, which apparently nobody ever tests.
