#ESAEuclid was launched 1000 days ago. 🥳
#ESA has already released #Euclid's Q1 dataset, Q2 (in the Galactic Bulge) and ~1900 deg² extragalactic data in DR1 will follow later this year. All instruments are healthy, satellite is working fine.

There are model MOCs by independent designers. I built these two, both are really great:

The designer makes models of a number of sats, he also seems to be working in the space industry around ESA. Can recommend!
We also printed it scaled down by a factor 4, but this 1:64 scale version, while cute, is really at the limit of printability for the smallest parts.

Are you interested in spacecraft models? Then you now have the chance to 3d-print your own #Euclid satellite! You can download all files for your personal version, including detailed assembly instructions:
https://www.euclid-ec.org/public/3d-model/
Scale is 1:16 (~30cm tall) for printing on any printer with a min. 200mm print bed.
Show us your models and tweaks with the hashtag #EuclidAtHome.

Here's another combined view by #ESAEuclid + #Hubble of the Cat's Eye Nebula

We give some background in our consortium blog:
When you combine wide field imaging of #ESAEuclid and smaller field but 2x higher resolution imaging by #HubbleSpaceTelescope the result will be stunning: a joint look at the Cat's Eyes Nebula, NGC 6543.
This is the ESA Hubble Picture of the Month:
La nébuleuse de l’Œil du Chat comme vous ne l’avez jamais vue !
Grâce à Hubble Space Telescope et Euclid, une nouvelle image spectaculaire révèle les derniers instants d’une étoile à 4 300 années-lumière.
