I was struck today, how referring to Israel's state sponsored terrorists using the term "settler" disguises their true nature, when they might be more accurately characterised as marauding, genocidal, invasive, murdering pests.
It just seems like an act of collaboration on the part of anyone writing about what Israel is doing in the West Bank, in particular, to use this ostensibly neutral but actually ideologically charged terminology to whitewash their hideous crimes.
@sigismundninja @rbreich American anythings, but arguably American Jews even moreso, have the responsibility to speak out against the atrocious Israeli regime and their campaign of terror against their neighbours. I'm not hearing a lot of noise from Jewish organisations aimed at denouncing Israeli aggression.
Perhaps I'm not listening in the right places.
Or do American Jews support Zionism as strongly as their Israeli counterparts? And do they think they are immune from accountability?
