Today someone (who is not on Mastodon) released a collection of more than 570 distinct operating systems, pre-installed with VM configurations for the 250+ different platforms, going back all the way to 1948.
Now, I have to admit I'm posting this without trying it myself, as I'm running low on disk space on this machine.
Because the full download is 121GB (174GB unzipped!). There is also a lighter version at 14GB that will download stuff on demand.

Van opensource en NIS2 tot CI/CD met Forgejo, Kubernetes security en zelfs Linux op je smartwatch. Overal kwam eigenlijk dezelfde vraag terug: hoeveel controle heb je nog over de technologie die je dagelijks gebruikt?
Op donderdag 7 mei bezocht ik met ProcoliX opnieuw een NLUUG conferentie, dit keer de voorjaarseditie. Tijdens de dag volgde ik verschillende sessies die allemaal op hun eigen manier lieten zien hoe technologie inmiddels veel verder gaat dan alleen 'iets technisch'. Onderwerpen als beleid, digitale onafhankelijkheid en security kwamen veel terug.

#ERE zorgt er voor dat (bijv) Shell minder snel hoeft te verduurzamen, want die kopen gewoon wat meer emissie certificaten.
Fijn dat consumenten mee mogen doen dit keer, maar het mes snijdt aan twee kanten.

Nobody is saying the loud part because they are too deep into AI now. They know teh only way to keep going is to pretend everything is working as promised. This is how the dot-com era happened & the upcoming AI bubble crash will too. They are disconnected from our reality. There is no cure for AI psychosis at CEO levels 😂
