@mekkaokereke I'll keep beating the drum for Catherynne Valente's Space Opera. It's fun and lighthearted softer sci-fi, a bit like Hitchhiker's Guide had a one-night stand with Eurovision.
There's also Martha Wells' excellent Murderbot Diaries series. Lots of heavy themes in a very enjoyable read.
John Scalzi's Old Man's War and Interdependancy series were both good reads and he's always demonstrated very, very little tolerance for the bigots and chuds.

I don't understand why "don't give my words to a billionaire's plagiarism machine" is so hard to understand. These are my words; I am sharing them with you. I am intentionally not sharing them with rich dipshits and their meaning-mulchers. I do not consent to an LLM consuming my thoughts, past, present, or future.
