I challenge myself with at least one new technique or skill (or both) on each consecutive guitar I build. I did several new things on this build, but my “one more step” this time was learning to make the pickups too. I designed these and it turns out they sound and look great. Since the guitar is called NM Desert Rat (aka The Rat King) these needed to represent NM as well. I’ve decided to see if I can sell a few sets at the upcoming luthier show so I present the inaugural set of NM Red P90 pickups 🌶️
