over a week later, i'm having one of those days. I feel like i'm failing tho i'm trying my hardest, and trying to take the effort as a win but feel like i'm failiing. i get off work, order for me and the kids at my fav mexican spot and i see this bumper sticker on a car in the parking lot. i felt so seen. sometimes god shows up in the strangest of places to show us that she sees us.

...and I said to my daughter: I don't want to hit this it and I don't want to get in a wreck.

And she replied: It's bad luck to hit a butterfly mom. I panicked a little but we didn't hit the butterfly.

I told her that butterflies are a new spirit animal for me and she rolled her eyes as teens do. I made a mental note that breaking for butterflies, while whimsyaf is probably unsafe.

A few weeks ago I was doing a morning meditation and one of the things that came to me was being totally enveloped in butterfly wings. An apt spirit animal for this phase of my life (I'm in a period of transformation, duh), a couple of days later I accidentally hit a butterfly while driving and then a week later I was driving with my kids and almost hit another one...
