Sorry it's been a minute y'all
In other news, I failed as a pet parent and forgot my dog's 12th birthday yesterday.
Please tell Remmy happy birthday!!
Jack and Tuna cannot with Mondays
This is so fucking cringe, weird behavior from a security company on LinkedIn
First, not everyone drinks, or wants it as a reward-based treatment / contingency management. Rewarding a demo with booze is a choice. Good dog, drink your bourbon so we can update our forecast in Salesforce a bit.
It's a freaking weird choice.
Also -- does that mean they opened a bottle and poured it in the flask, by chance? Like you're drinking booze from a stranger you never saw poured? I hope not.
Do you seriously subscribe to the stereotype that tech people and business users just guzzle down bourbon?
at least make it gin jk -- don't do this at all.
Today I lost a friend due to many unknown ailments. He started turning yellow a couple of days ago... but with no health insurance he didn't go to the ER. He was covered in tattoos, including his eyes, and was constantly put down, dismissed, and ridiculed by healthcare practitioners.
Sparing the details, he didn't have to go this way. He was constantly appealing his healthcare coverage and trying to get help, he had been suffering for months. But as he'd go to the doctor, they'd minimize and shove him out the door as an uninsured person. Had he received the treatment he needed, I dunno if I still would have had my friend.
He was my partner's platonic life partner, and the three of us were planning on buying a house together. We were supposed to adopt more dogs, have a garden, and hang out all the time. He'd regularly cook me food and check in on me. We were friends together, but also a family between the three of us. I saw him all the time, he'd let me come over and just sit with him when I didn't want to be alone. He took very good care of my dog, and made him special treats. We'd share music together.
Now he won't be there at our wedding, he won't be in our dream home, and the dogs don't understand.
The healthcare system failed him.
Rest in Peace, Tricky. You took a part of me with you.
I asked ChatGPT to draw me based on everything it knew about me, and to write the alt text.
This is what it came up with:
Not providing a promo code or anything because I don't want to benefit directly off this
