Transfering @signalapp accounts between devices. Here's to hoping it doesn't really take 5 hours.
I’ve been contemplating more and more moving on from #Apple (mostly because of the software), but my @frameworkcomputer simulation didn’t do too much to help though.

This was obvious. OpenAI has a prime context for highly customized, targeted, ads (AI generated) with all the information people relay there.

OpenAI plans to introduce ads for ChatGPT

OpenAI plans to introduce ads for ChatGPT users who aren't paying for the premium version. The company announced Friday that it will start testing ads in the coming weeks. OpenAI aims to monetize its chatbot, which has over 800 million users, most of whom use it for free. Despite being valued at $500 billion, the startup is losing more money than it makes. The digital ads will appear at the bottom of ChatGPT's answers when there's a relevant sponsored product or service. OpenAI assures that the ads will be clearly labeled and separated from the organic answers.

Spent some hours working on a script to export my #macOS system settings to streamline a clean install, to no success - it exports the .plist files but, when importing, only some of the settings seem to be set with the correct value. I’ll take a closer look, but I ended up configuring it by hand :(

In 1991, a uni student from Finland started a "hobby" project because he couldn't afford to pay expensive Unix license that could run on a commodity hardware. At the time, he told on the mailing list that his project wouldn't be anything "big or professional."

It turned out that he was totally wrong.

Happy 56th Birthday to the creator of Linux kernel and git, Linus Torvalds! May you live healthy and happy forever. Thank you for all your hard work and providing us employment and keep it FLOSS😊

Dreading the desk reconfiguration I've set myself to do tomorrow. Just thinking about the cable reorg gives me a headache. Let's see if I find a way to make it easier in case I need to make changes in the future.
Ghostty now has a keybinding system powerful enough to enable a "vim mode." This is built by composing multiple Ghostty features together, meaning you can create any modes you want (emacs, tmux, whatever). We'll keep adding more bindings to make these even more powerful! ‘Tis the season to reinstall machines, reorganise data, tinker with services and configs - because nothing says holiday cheer like a good ol’ system overhaul.
@rcarmo sorry to bother but I was wondering if you could help me. I’m getting conflicting info on supported amount of RAM on the f4 424 max. I saw on your blog that you have 96gb… is that the max supported? I’ve seen a “System Information” screenshot elsewhere that states 128gb installable capacity.
Memory prices (RAM) ... ugh. If there was ever a bad time to need an upgrade. My wallet is screaming.
