@deidara aaaagh, that sounds horrible
The youth group I was in had a more inclusive inner circle, but that inner circle would disown people for the pettiest shit - too much time on a phone, looking too hench, just generally "acting weird", all of that, plus since it was closely linked with the local community college's LGBT club the drama from there got dragged along a lot too
One of my best friends from middle school, a trans girl like myself, was in this same youth group and went to a ton of the events and all, and I've seen the inner circle of that group go and call her annoying and a pest right outside of a diner while she was paying for her food because she was on her phone too much
Considering that she's got a precarious home situation and these groups are one of the only ways she can validate her identity, that's honestly disgusting
I'm not gonna lie, youth and campus LGBT groups can be judgmental and drama-focused as *fuck* and it sucks
Like, shit, half the time in my area's local group I was just sitting there while the inner circle talked about how much they hated other people
If you're in or running one of these, keep in mind that a lot of people there are highly vulnerable and honestly being a bunch of gossipy cocks is absolutely atrocious
