The largely unqualified Veronika Grimm is getting the criticism she deserves as she wants to take up a position in a large German industrial conglomerate. All of her 4 colleagues in the economic advisory council of the federal government ask her to leave the council.

Of course things happen as they are bound to happen. Now Grimm, one of the key figures defending Germanyโ€™s backward economic and monetary policies of the 90s, is being styled as an underdog and hero.

I can see some similarities with the media narrative in regards to the Germany national government.
In contrast the NYT with incredibly bad reporting focuses on the age difference (or mostly on Bidenโ€™s) and features paragraphs like this. I donโ€™t even know where to start ..
