Keeping myself honest here at #MastoRunDk. Ran 10k #JyllingeLøbet Saturday .. not in 48:xx as I was hoping for. I ran in 50:04 (49:58 chip time, but probably slightly short). Am I unhappy? No I could maybe have pushed on a bit, maybe 10-15 seconds - but not even close to a good minute. My best time, from a bit more than a year ago, is 49:16, but very flat course. Can not say that about Jyllinge løbet. Ran it last in 2021 in 55:37.
Using to #MastoRunDk to keep myself honest. So I have to admit that I gave up on 46:xx for the 10k during the last 14 weeks. I did not think I was close to hitting the interval speed. Now my goal is 48:xx. #JyllingeLøbet is on saturday.

Tried something new today. Took part in a parkrun. Friends from the states were visiting, and since they are active in the local parkruns, we decided start the day with a run. The people at Amager Fælled parkrun were very friendly. #parkrun #AmagerFælledparkrun #MastoRunDk

My run today went very well. Goal was 1:50, maybe sub 1:50, so my time of 1:50:11 must be spot on.

I did lower the pace a bit to not run into uncomfortable territory, in the end, but only a bit. I'm really happy for the results of the training.

The work is done. One week (two runs) to the race and I feel very well prepared.

The weather forecast is saying cloudy, which good for me as we have not had much sun this spring - and I need to drink more than most when its sunny/warm

Today is two weeks before my annual Half Marathon - this year it's in Hannover again.

This year is also the second year using Garmin Coach for my HM training. Coach Amy is very satisfied with me and I have not had any problems training. Using Coach Amy this year as its the longest training plan available.

My personal goal this year is to run 1:50:xx (or maybe under 1:50).

Pondering when tomorrow to go for an all out 5 minutes time trial - as requested by my Garmin Coach #MastoRunDk
Stats for 2023 were 1265 km. Ran "Den Grønne halvmarathon" in my predicted time of 1:52 but did get an overuse injury in the left foot - causing me to reduce running and had one week of no running and several weeks of max distance of 2k. Took pretty much 6 months to get back to no pain. #MastoRunDk
Finally. 6 months after I got an overuse injury in my foot, during den grønne halvmaraton in Lyngby, I feel like I’m over it. I also got an orthopedists word that 6 month is not surprising in the joints in a toe for it to heal after an inflammation. My plan for my next race, in April ‘24, is strength training of my toes and more short fast running. #mastrundk
