@eniko I long for a day of implementation.

@cube_drone it's all in what kind of legislation they're proposing.

- limit new entrants into the field (solidify their control)
- nonsensical fearmongering about true artificial intelligence to distract from concrete concerns about LLMs (like energy usage, copyright violation, and job displacement)

@glassbottommeg @tess I did hear one friend complain that quest progress is tied to the Host World, not individual players/characters - so if you have friends in your world and they complete a side quest without you, it stays completed and you missed it.

Some day I really want to take a swing at co-op progression; such a tricky nut to crack.

@lisyarus love this look! New project or still Costa Verde?
Rage at what these racists did to Claudine Gay. Couldn’t even keep a Black woman as president for one year without harassing and stalking her out. They have the most unbelievably horrific white men at the highest levels of leadership, regularly. Black women? Scrutinized to the tee if they don't fall in line.
@eniko secret, third state. 👀
@eniko if you figure it out, tag me. 🙃

@glassbottommeg Yeah, not being able to roll back into a "main" save is a real frustration - at least you can get all the season-exclusive unlocks on any save once you earn them.

My primary save right now is off of this year's Utopia expedition, precisely because I got some really sweet RNG ships along the way and wanted to keep them.

@glassbottommeg seriously, Expeditions are so good.

They're not (necessarily) an ideal *first* experience with NMS, but they're absolutely a great way to dive back in after time away, particularly since they usually showcase the newest feature the game has added.

And the holiday redux, fast-tracking the year's Expeditions over Dec-Jan, is just great.

Ugh. So many people I know got the axe today from my biggest client.

If you got hit in the layoffs, you know what I do and I'll be glad to support whatever you do in the interim while looking for work. Need a map (or a crappy B&W illo) for an interim project to keep you going? Drop me a line.
