I'm honestly surprised that Apple kept offering an up-gradable tower for as long as they did.
Kinda makes sense though. Now that the next version of Mac OS won't be compiled for x64 and they no longer have to compete against Hackintoshes, they don't have to pretend to care about people who want an up-gradable Mac OS machine anymore.
