This is an odd one but I am pleased with how it has turned out. After the asscade this is probably the most involved #bdsm furniture I've built. It involved wood working, some basic wiring, and some very basic metal fabrication.

So features: the sub straddles the display stand like a wooden horse. The seat is padded for longer term use, and has a #vibrator built into the front of it, wired to a dial and plug in the back of the stand.

Underneath, a metal rectangular tube fits two curving oak spreader bars which can slot into place and are held there with pins. The sub's legs are spread and shackled to the bars one at a time.

Their arms are bound using some variant of armbinder, or the serving stocks if you want them to function as a table (holding a tray).

In the end, I'm pleased with the finish. I like the combination of antique-looking furniture with built-in electronics, and how well it matches the rest of our furniture.

Things we learned: She really liked the arm rest/support. We used closet rod supports to hold up the arm rest and drop it into place once she's inside.

Beat 'em Ups probably play the best because they involve just a lot of spanking with simple movement, and mazes do the worst because it is hard to convey 'down' and timing is so important. Driving games are very difficult. We generally stuck to games with left, right, and one or two buttons.

Perhaps fittingly, the only game we actually beat was boong-ga boong-ga.

I have published for free print-ready images of the temporary tattoos, the marquee and side art stencils in approximately correct, standard dimensions and bezels for if you use TheBezelProject on retropie.

So, how well does it work? It unironically plays like ass. Its a lot of fun, but we were able only to munch two ghosts in Ghostmuncher, and can not clear the first level of Space Intruder.

There is two people's lag to take into consideration and there is some... imprecision in the controls. She had trouble detecting whether I was slapping the top or bottom button on either side after awhile, despite a couple inches of distance between them, so it helped to 'recalibrate' before the start of each game. As in all things, good communication.

Just the same, it was a lot of fun, and we could actually both see it becoming something like bridge, where the two partners develop excellent nonverbal communication in the context of the game.

Bondage arcade:

Here is a fun twist on those couple's trust/cooperation exercises. There are two roles: the Player and the Controller. The Controller is boxed up inside the arcade cabinet with their butt sticking out the front. Temporary tattoos of arrows and oversized buttons have been applied to them. They are tied up but holding an USB game controller. They can press buttons but can't see the game.

The Player can see the screen but not directly use the controls. They use the Controller to play the games. This part is pretty straightforward. You insert your joystick and use it to convey direction, and use targeted spanks for button presses.

Any MAME or multicade arcade template will do for a start. We made the control panel replaceable, built a removable, slanted bench inside so she could sit more comfortably and used a wooden dowel threaded through a pool noodle as a removable padded rest for her arms for comfortable support.

Bondage bookshelves show up in art occasionally, so we decided to build one IRL. Our main addition was a front stock piece with attached ball gag, mounted at a 45° angle for ergonomics. The structure only works if someone is inside it (it is being held up in this photo before it was isolated). The shelf is supported by the sub and it is a strenuous position to maintain.

The shelf is built in two parts, split at the stocks. The sub steps onto the base, straddling the pole and, facing away from it, with their arms strappado behind them and places their wrists in the bottom half of the stocks. Then their partner places the top part so the stocks are closed and the shelf rests across their shoulders. They latch the stocks together. Then they swing the front part closed so the ball gag is in the sub's mouth and latch it in place. Then they rush to load books onto the shelf so they can enjoy the scene before their partner needs freed again.

One Bar Prisons are popular on /r/BdsmDIY, here is our version

It was made with about $60 worth of materials from Lowes and a dildo from Amazon which was made for a massager. For safety, and to mount the dildo, I carved a wooden crossbar with short holes drilled top and bottom (the top one is narrower) and painted it to match the flange. I used a wide wooden premade disk as a base. Also for safety I used a more flexible toy and made sure there was sturdy furniture within arm's reach she could steady herself on.

Ideas for improvements:
At the moment the height is controlled with pre-drilled holes (matched to different shoes she has) and a lynch pin. This worked well but I may eventually go for something more adjustable like a round clamp or even just a large spring inside the base so it moves up and down with her (handcuffs required for this version). The pin seems fairly safe though as I can rip it free quickly and let the toy drop.

Punishment Bra – made with an old bra and a DIY Leather Jacket Spike Kit from Amazon – this one is simple, I got the kind of spikes that screw together and used a wood burner/soldering iron with a narrow tip to poke/melt holes through the fabric/foam

Then I spray painted everything but the threaded rod silver, and then coated it all in urethane. The urethane reduced the ‘metalic-ness’ of the silver paint, but it was worth it for the wearability. The spraypaint on its own rubbed off very easily, and left silver dust on everything it touched.

I’m pleased with this version; it’s been worn at least ten times without any issues besides the hassle setting it up. I may create a more ‘final’ metal version at some point, along the lines of the schematic at the bottom of the imgur post, but this one is quite secure.

I eventually decided on a piece of threaded rod covered in segments of plastic tube for the locking bar. This allowed for it to be locked together with simple nuts (which she couldn’t reach to unscrew) and the plastic tube in the middle keeps the two hoops from sliding, while the sorter lengths protect the wearer’s arms from rub burns as the threaded rod is slid in place or removed. The two smaller tubes are the biggest weak point of the design: each is cut to fit in the crook of each elbow and must be lined up with the rod as you run it through the holes in the hoops, and they’re annoying to get just right, and pose a pinch risk at that point (although not once it’s all put together).

I cut the wood into hoops using a bandsaw, drill, and jigsaw, then shaped it down to something more ergonomic using a belt sander and knife. Then I measured and cut the threaded rod, measured and cut the plastic tubes to fit, did a test wearing.

It works by holding the arms bent, with a locking bar against the inside of the elbows. The arms can’t be withdrawn without straightening them, and the wearer can’t do that with the lock bar in place.

I want to note upfront that this design is the result of one major constraint: I didn’t have the capability to shape or weld metal at the time, but could do woodworking. If I had been welding, I’d have used a hinged design more like this.

But without metal, I was left trying to make a strong, secure design while using wood as the most adjustable medium. I’d also wanted something minimalist/modern, shaped roughly like the final product, and which looked like metal. So for this prototype, I settled on two hoops carved from scraps of a 2x12, with a solid rod run though each, connecting them behind the wearer’s back.
