This year appeared to be no exception, with John Phelan, the #Navy secy, & Adm. Samuel Paparo, the head of the military’s #IndoPacific Command, among the speakers scheduled to address the gathering that begins on Tues.

But on Monday morning, the #Pentagon abruptly canceled its participation in the 4-day event, saying the forum’s *values* did not align with the Pentagon’s.

I cannot stress enough how IMPORTANT it is for me for the software not to fuck with my settings once I establish them. If I ever need to bury a treasure, you can be sure as fuck that along the silver and gold, there is going to be a plate with my #KOreader settings engraved in it
It's been suggested that the squirrels feel safer, less exposed anyway, on my porch. And I suppose that climbing up onto the table gives them a better view of their surroundings. This may be the explanation.

I have a chair and a small table on my porch. Today there are peanut shells on the table. This happens a lot! I don't know where the squirrels are getting the peanuts, maybe someone is feeding them. But they bring the peanuts (from wherever) up onto my porch and then eat them on my table!

I had a folding cane with me. My cordless electric mower served as a 4-wheel walker, although heavier and requiring more muscle. When I wanted a break I unfolded the cane and walked over to my porch. It all worked out.

I mowed my lawn today. That doesn't sound like much but a year ago I was in a wheelchair beginning a 3 month stay in a rehab facility to learn to walk again. When I was discharged I was using a walker. At home I went from the walker to a quad cane and then a regular cane. And now in the house, where I feel safe, I'm not using a cane at all.

So mowing my lawn felt like a big deal!
