Also did a cut-up & flipped the piece, which gives a really nice effect (pic 3) - gonna make a new block with different patterns and colors later this week :)
Fired & glazed! I made this cup a few weeks ago. They have some air bubbles though. Lucky that they didn’t explode in the kiln. Learning as I go working with this delicate material #porcelain#nerikomi
Another Nerikomi cup! I hope it will hold, since it’s a delicate process that demands patience, technique and meticulousness, something I’m not great at when it comes to porcelain. But, maybe I get lucky 🤞🏼 #porcelain#nerikomi
Nerikomi ‘cup’ / ‘vase’ — not sure what it is. Just hoping it stays in one piece during the bisque firing 🤞🏼The seam is ugly though (not shown here). It’s hard to hand-build with porcelain, cause it’s so malleable. Practice should make perfect! #nerikomi#porcelain#ceramics
Block reveal 2! Really happy with the result. Still quite marble-ly, but in a good way 🥳 next up -> building a cup by hand. Not easy, as porcelain is very soft in comparisons stoneware clay. But, will wing it :) #nerikomi#porcelain#pigments
