More pics of the phases of making mattar paneer. Mattar = peas. Paneer = cheese. The tadka has reduced and turned color. The process is similar to sofrito. Then the peas and paneer are added and combined. About 2 cups water are added, brought to boil and then simmered 15 min. Made ahead so that the paneer continues to soak up the “curry” known as tari (gravy or broth).

After the house fire that left me with only the clothes I had slept in, I ordered only basic solid tees and jeans. It took me about 2 1/2 years to buy a fun graphic shirt again. I still have a very minimal wardrobe 5 years later as nicer cotton shirts/blouses are hard to find and I hate going clothes shopping. I wear this tee weekly and it always makes me smile. Rest in Peace Mr. Reiner.
Perusing new at IKEA section on website. They are selling Dr. Oetker Baking Glue to join gingerbread houses together. This made me chuckle since I always describe attaching icing decorations or candy to gingerbread cookies as glueing them. The kids always exclaim, “Glue!?!” I need to find a recipe for soft ginger molasses drop cookies with lemon icing because Carr’s ginger lemon creme cookies still seem to be discontinued.
