Watching the 375th Harvard Commencement gave me chills. From the 5:30 a.m. parents lining up on Widener’s steps to 8,500 students turning from “Harvard students” into alumni in one morning, it felt like history happening in real time.
Loved the mix of centuries‑old rituals and modern moments: the Memorial Church bell, the 460‑year‑old (very uncomfortable) Holy Oak Chair, flags and shields for every school, and even Sasha the community engagement dog in her own regalia.
