The #hamchallenge is starting into its second year!

In 2025 we had 70 different participants who submitted 798 toots. The most successful participant was Ian, M0TRT (@ian) who completed 41 challenges!

Thanks to Phil, DL9PK (@phikes) for taking over the organization and operation of the 2026 edition. He rewrote the website, open sourced it (https://github.com/phikes/hamchallenge.org), and collected challenges for the coming year.

Here's to a successful second year, and thanks for all the fun we had in 2025!

In Zusammenarbeit mit der Wau-Holland-Stiftung darf ich euch einen Online-Kurs mit 12 Abendterminen anbieten. Wir fangen bei Null an und lernen Stück für Stück, wie man so ein Linux bedient, was da alles drinsteckt, wie man drankommt und wie man überhaupt rausfindet, was man machen muss.

Begleitend gucken wir uns auch Compute-Grundlagen allgemein an.

In knapp 4 Wochen wird die Domain für https://bahnblog.org/ fällig, und da mein ursprünglicher Plan, dafür weitere Autorys zu gewinnen, einfach mal so gar nicht geklappt hatte, überlege ich jetzt, ob ich die paar Artikel in mein Hauptblog übernehme und die Domain dann freigebe, statt sie erneut zu bezahlen.

Oder haben vielleicht mittlerweile Leute, die häufiger Bahn fahren, Lust, da regelmäßig-unregelmäßig was reinzuposten?

52 Week Ham Radio Challenge 2025 - Week 38: Make a contact on Morse code!

In my 20 years of ham radio, I have always missed FP St.Pierre & Miquelon. Therefore I built a vertical and managed to work FP5KE on a few bands in #CW

I had a monoband vertical earlier but now focused on multi-band possibilities through feeding with a wiremann twinline.

52 Week Ham Radio Challenge 2025 - Week 39: Make a 2-way contact with an output power of 100 mW or less.

With my current setup, I cannot go to mW level. Yet, I hope my 1 W #CW ragchew QSO on 30M with 85 yr old G3RGD counts . Real 5NN both ways
