🦋 Hoy hemos disfrutado de una jornada muy especial con la visita al hábitat de la mariposa Euchloe bazae, una especie única de nuestro entorno y en peligro de extinción.

Unas 50 personas han participado en esta actividad organizada por el Ayuntamiento de Baza junto a la Asociación ZERYNTHIA.

Durante la visita, miembros de ZERYNTHIA ofrecieron una charla y explicaron dentro del propio hábitat el comportamiento de esta especie, así como el valor de esta zona para su conservación.

Looking back towards Malaga after an evening walk along the coast to La Cala del Moral. The tall structure is part of the La Araña cement factory - not especially pretty close up, but over the years it has added a focal point to so many of my photos. In fact, it appears in the previous photo I posted, seen from the opposite direction in the morning.

Photo taken a few minutes ago at Málaga María Zambrano station.

Normally I would be pleased to get such a variety of trains into a single photo. But not today. Malaga remains cut off from the rest of the Spanish high-speed network by a landslide near Álora, with no immediate prospect of a restored service.

So of all these trains, only the diesel railcar furthest from the camera can go anywhere. For the rest, the station is just a place to park.

🆕 blog! “OpenBenches at FOSDEM”

At the recent FOSDEM, I did a very quick lightning talk about our OpenBenches project.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of the AV team, the video had a missing section. I took my own audio recording and zipkid took some photos, so I was able to recreate it using the Flowblade video editor.
