After months of #compiling packages and their dependencies manually, I learnt that #gentoo's #portage can be used on other #linux distros ! So I spent the last few weeks letting it bootstrapping and installing everything. (it took that long cuz I could only run it during class, so it was 1h here, 2 other there...)
Today it finally finished the bootstrap, meaning I can now install almost everything I want without any hassles (except time of course 😆). Time for some #ricing now !

+1 Happy Linux User joined us today ! 🎉🐧

I helped my sibling switch from Windows 11 to Linux Mint Cinnamon (dual booting for an easier switch) as they was so upset with all the AI push and all the ressources used even on idle. One of the first thing they said after booting it was "Wow, it doesn't sound like a landing airplane! 🤯".
Beforehand, we made a list of their essential apps, to check their Linux compatibility, and in the process I discovered a new Wine launcher, Faugus, which look neat !

I recently started to work on 3DFM, a #filemanager in #3D. It's currently still in #beta, still has bugs, and doesn't do much, but I wanted to share it.
It's made in #C++ with #raylib, released under the #gplv3 , and available pre-compiled for #windows, #macos and #linux
Features :
- Open and navigate your #directories as 3d cubes
- Show or hide your hidden files
- Color is set by the file type (dir, regular, symlink, etc...)
