I discovered these little guys living on a moss stem in my aquarium. I was looking at them with my 10x magnifiers, when one of them moved its feathery arms, eating something very small. They likely have been in the 15 Gallon tank for nearly a year. Last winter, the tank was populated with pond mud and water collected from a few locations. I never noticed them until today.

This is a gouache painting. It was painted in 2004. The opaque watercolor is on paper mounted on wood. I used myself as the model for the three swimmers. The painting is about 25 by 45 inches.

Good morning to you. I hope your day is cheerful and productive. I got my wife up at 4 AM. She is one of the volunteers keeping the voting polling running smoothly She will not be home until after 8 PM. I will be representing us at a local candidate's watch party this evening. Good Morning. I was up making coffee, when my wife's charity food help phone rang. It was 6:30 AM. I answered with my not so sweet gruff voice. No answer from the caller. Only the sound of a TV and shifting of papers was heard. I asked a few times before hanging up. My wife half asleep asking who it was. I guess they didn't like the sound of my voice. Eating my apple, waiting on coffee.
