im a glass genius and you are all deeply lucky to live in the same time as me
That moment in the workday when I desperately want to be drawing but I know from history that as soon as I get home, I’m going to be on YouTube
Picked up a graphic novel from my parents’ attic that I have absolutely no memory of. Nothing rings a bell. I know that I am the person who bought it. And I’d bet money that i immediately read it as well. But I’m glaring at it now and nothing is ringing a bell. I’ve just graphic novel shopped in my own home.
I took a pencil and sketched the barest wisps of a human figure and a pair of animals. Then I had to get dressed for work. I don’t know why my brain does not give me this kind of energy and impression when I’ve returned home and have a few hours stretched out in front of me. Obviously the rejuvenation from having woken up plays a part. But even more significantly is clearly the lack of available time itself. We only want to make art at the times when we don’t have the time available.
I was drawing for an hour and change and as a result I feel better than I have in months

for those of you who like superhero comics, you should consider looking at David Finch’s YouTube as he teaches you how to draw superhero comics

David Finch the comic book artist, not David Fincher the Hollywood film director

I’m a big fan of coffee in the evening

Some of you think this is bad but I love to be awake to enjoy my time off from work

Sorry I forget to “toot” on mastodon.

I love you guys. I’m presently laying in bed and sipping a coffee. Yum!

I don’t understand why Entenmann’s donut holes cost $3.99 in 2002 and the same thing costs $3.99 in 2026
